Hi, I’m Alexis.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with capturing candid images.
Since the mid 90s, I started forcing my parents to develop one disposal camera after the other. I went through the original Polaroids, clunky hot pink point-and-shoots that rattled around in my oversized purses, to becoming yearbook editor and getting my hands on my first Canon Rebel, to working for a studio in my early twenties, second and associate shooting for weddings and the U of M Ann Arbor dance & cheer team. I have been nurturing this craft for what feels like a lifetime.
When you book a session with me, your nerves will wear off quickly because my top priority is to make you feel safe and in control. Making people feel comfortable is the number-one piece of feedback that I hear from my subjects over and over again. My strategy is an onslaught of dad-jokes paired with being open, honest, and vulnerable so that when I’m asking you to be yourself in front of my camera, it feels like a two-way street. I never want to stick you in front of a wall or tree and tell you to smile at the camera. I want to document how you interact in your world with the people you love and your surroundings. There is a distinct difference in how your photographs will turn out when you are natural and comfortable versus nervous and rigid. I believe bringing this out in others is my true gift and why I’ve chosen photography as my creative medium.
I married my husband in 2022 and together we share two senior dogs, Cooper & Chloe, in our home in Grand Rapids. His support of my work and our love for each other has motivated me to commit to my passions and make the most of my personal and professional life. There would be no Brons Imagery without my sweet Christopher.

meet my fam
When I show up happy, excited, and eager to give you the best experience possible, it’s because my little fam does that for me every day.

Chris Brons
Tall, east coast Italian who is a professional chef that sleep talks…literally all I’ve ever asked for. The kind of person that would rather vacation in a big city rather than go camping, but we love him anyway.
